Creating content doesn’t have to be complicated…

Or so I thought… but I’m get dumbed out when it comes to creating content. Primarily because my mind goes into a deep analytical state that sort of freezes my system in a (what seems like) permanent state of shock!

That’s the reason why I loved the Document vs Create analogy. It’s convenient and doesn’t take a toll on you! It works for the most part except on two specific occasions:

  1. When you don’t feel like prioritizing the process of “documenting”
  2. Think that you’ll get to writing that blog post/shooting that video/uploading that picture anyway

Those are two of the most dangerous traps any creator or entrepreneur can fall into. I almost did today… I actually had a great comeback story to share but I’ll be saving it for tomorrow. Call me lazy… but that’s what back-to-back coaching calls (3+ hours) does to you! Deaf to the rest of the world! (Hey, my clients are wonderful! I’m just too exhausted from all that intent listening though. But that’s just another day, I guess.)

If you’re like me, you know exactly what I’m talking about. But it’s important for us to keep our head high and keep at it. So, I’m leaving you with something inspiring that Jared Polin of https://froknowsphoto.com/ said:

“Day in and day out, make content. I get it that people are busy, but if you really want to create something, you need to be consistent at it. You can take five minutes and speak to a camera, you can take five minutes and talk to your phone. MAKE CONTENT. Put stuff out into the world. You never know what’s going to take off.”

Jared went from a bunch of random views to 125 million views and 800,000 subscribers? (Source: Ramit Sethi’s newsletter.)

The secret of his success? He showed up everyday!
